Jesus asked this question to the twelve when some of the others had left.

50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.

56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

61 When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?
62 What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.
65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
66 From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?

Here this man every time he tried to get healed in the pool someone stepped in front of him. But this day he was healed!! Praise the Lord!!! Don’t give up on the healing, just as this man never gave up!
20 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.
3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,
4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.
5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.
6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.
8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.
10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.
11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,
12 Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

In this parable when it was time for the laborers to be paid their wages the last that was hired received a penny and the ones who had worked from the beginning of the day thought they would receive more but was upset when they only received a penny also. The householder tells them,

The world believes in first come first served but with God it is way different. Those who were shunned, despised, ridiculed by the world and put last will be first in the kingdom of God.
5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.
7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink.

9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.
36 And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.
37 And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.
38 I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.
39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.
41 And many more believed because of his own word;
42 And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.
The Bible doesn’t tell us her name but we do know she was a Samaritan who had been married five times and the man she was with they were just living together. She was drawing water alone and most of the time the women came in groups so there must of been a reason she was a outcast. Samaritans were thought low of by the Jews but here was Jesus asking her for a drink of water.
She is astounded by what Jesus tells her about her life and he offers her eternal life. She is so happy she goes and tells the men of the town about Jesus and many come to know him as their Saviour also.

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Sometimes we have that “I can’t do that” mentality and it keeps us from reaching our full potential in our lives.
Philippians 4:13 King James Version
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
The devil will tell us we can’t get that job, we can’t have this in life or that. He will tell us we can’t be that soul winner or Christian that we want to be because of our past. But with Jesus we can be what we want to be in our lives to serve the Lord and to do his will.
I have let fear so many times tell me I cannot do something that I really wanted to do. God didn’t give us the spirit of fear but of power, of love and a sound mind!
1 John 4:4 – Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Mark 9:23 – Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
When it comes that time in your life that you think you can’t do something always remember, Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
I love my walks because I praise and sing to my Lord. Today as I walked I found a old Penny so dirty and it looked like it had been ran over many times. I have always heard when I was a child if you find a Penny it brings you luck well I don’t believe in luck. I believe in my God. Some think a Penny found is a sign from Heaven from God, an angel, or a loved one. Others think it symbolizes a new start, a regrowth. After finding it I saw a bee on a spring flower. I like to think just as that old Penny that used to be so shiny and new we are full of sins and our bodies grow old. The good news is we are new in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Just as that penny has “In God we trust” we can trust him and be renewed in Him.
Sometimes we are guilty of being “people pleasers” instead of pleasing God who is our Father and creator. I have been guilty of this so many times in my life but we have to make a choice in our lives. Do we want to please God or man? I would rather please God just as Peter said, Acts 5:29 – “Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.”
Galatians 1:10 – For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
John 12:43 – For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
Isaiah 2:22 – Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
Jeremiah 17:5 – Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

The Lord is always with us in the trials of life to protect us no matter what we are facing. We see him protecting Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. We see him protecting Daniel in the Lions den. Keep your faith just as they did.

2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.
4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.
5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.
6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.
7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.
23 Then was the king exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.
24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.
25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.
26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end.
27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
After two years of not catching the Covid virus I finally tested positive for it a few days ago. It was rough!! Glory to God I am still trying to recover. So many have prayed for me!! Reading the Bible tonight I read,
Psalm 39:7 KJV
7 “And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.”
What encouragement and hope we have when we are facing sickness or any obstacle in life is putting our hope in the Lord and waiting for him!! Then the old hymn came to mind “Where could I go but to the Lord?” Isn’t that the truth? Only place we need to go with anything is to the Lord!!!
Isaiah 8:17 – And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.
Psalms 62:5 – My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Psalms 27:14 – Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Isaiah 40:31 – But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Psalms 37:7– Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psalms 130:5 – I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
When Paul was first converted people didn’t trust him but can you blame them? The people had laid down their clothes at Saul’s feet before they stoned Stephen. Saul then persecuted the church,

“As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.”
Something amazing had happened to Saul he met Jesus on the way to Damascus!

17 And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.
18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.
Paul want d to join up with the disciples in Jerusalem but the disciples were afraid ,
Acts 9:26-“And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a disciple”
But Barnabas took him and brought him to the Apostles and told them what had happened to Saul. Saul had changed and now was a believer!
Just like with us when we sin and sin and accept Jesus as our Saviour some don’t want to believe that we have changed but keep moving forward in your walk with the Lord and soon they will see the change.
