When we read in the Bible about the sin that we cannot be forgiven of it makes you immediately think about if you have committed that unpardonable sin. In Mark 3:29 Jesus says that “whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” Matthew’s account adds that even blasphemy against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but not blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:31–32).

Matthew 12:22-37 King James Version
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

How do we know that we haven’t committed the unpardonable sin? It is a continued rejection of Jesus in which the Pharisees did with hatred.Furthermore, those who have committed the unpardonable sin have no godly regrets. As Paul emphasized in Romans, they not only continue in their evil ways but approve of others who do so as well (1:32). Conversely, “godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation” (2 Corinthians 7:10). Sorrow for sin and the desire for Christ’s forgiveness are proof positive that you have not rejected the Savior of your soul. Never forget that three times Peter denied his Lord with vile oaths. Yet not only did Christ forgive him, but his confession, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God”
Just as there is a physical death there will be a second death. Let’s look at the Bible on what it says of the second death.
Revelation 20:6 King James Version
6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 21:8 King James Version
8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
The good news for believers is you will not experience a second death but for unbelievers if you reject Christ you will be throwed in the lake of fire.
If you have never believed on the Lord Jesus as your Saviour do it now my Brother and Sister. we are not promised tomorrow and when we face the first death our soul will either go to Heaven if you are a believer or hell if you are a unbeliever. Then after judgment day if your name is not found in the book of life, you will be cast into the lake of fire which is the second death. Don’t wait do it today and believe on Jesus Christ.
Let’s look at what Paul tells us about the Resurrection.

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

Brother and Sister we have such hope as believers that we will be resurrected. We have eternal life through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. If you don’t know Jesus as your Lord and Saviour do it today.

I wanted to learn more about what it actually means to be a stumbling block.
First let’s look at what the definition of stumbling block means.
Wikipedia defines it The Koine Greek word, skándalon (Strong’s 4625) means either a ‘trap-stick’ or a ‘stumbling block’. In the Bible, skándalon is used figuratively to mean either something that causes people to sin, or something that causes them to lose their faith in Jesus
A biblical definition A stumbling block is something that gets in the way of a Christian’s growth or progress.
Let’s look at what the Bible saids about a stumbling block
1 Corinthians 1:23 KJV
But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
Leviticus 19:14 KJV
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD.
Romans 14:13 KJV
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
We have to be careful in life to avoid the stumbling blocks and also to avoid being a stumbling block to others. Do you want to be a stepping stone in helping others to the Lord or a stumbling block?
There is a battle that rages within us every day. The battle between our flesh and our spirit. Here is what Paul tells us about that battle.
Romans 7:15-25 King James Version and Romans 8:1-13
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

I remember when I was living in another state and at that time I was going to a small church which was right down the street from a bar. One night at that church I noticed a young man in his early twenties come in to church that night with his white stick. He was blind. We came and spoke to him. He was telling us how the song my friend who was playing on the piano was beautiful. Maybe he had heard the music as he was walking down that street and found his way to church that night or I believe the Lord guided him in. The preacher came up to talk with him and we could hear him tell him how he had seen him walking up the street several times and that he had seen him going to the bar down the street. The young man told him he lived on the same street and the young man started crying. That night we watched as this young blind man gave his life to God. I never seen him again after that. I moved on to another church. Then I witnessed a blind lady who had a seeing eye dog who lived in a neighborhood right near a church and she would have that dog lead her to her church and back home every Sunday morning. Many people had stopped to see if she wanted a ride but I guess she enjoyed the walk. But those two blind people always stayed with me. The Lord showed me one that came to salvation and another who never missed church being led by her seeing eye dog every Sunday morning. I know I was supposed to see these two people and their testimony of faith. It helped my faith as a young Christian at the time.

We can be spiritually blind but once we know Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour our eyes are opened.
In life we are going to go through suffering and we are going to go through trials. Sometimes we wonder why is this happening to me, why am I going through this tragedy, why am I going through this trial, why am I suffering like I am? In times like this through your trial, through your suffering and through your tragedy is where you will find your strength in Christ. Here are some scriptures to help you when these times come upon you.
1 Peter 5:10 – But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
Romans 8:18 – For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
John 16:33 – These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Revelation 21:4 – And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Isaiah 43:2 – When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

What a wonderful study today out of John 10. Let the Lord be your shepherd today. He loves you so very much that He died for you on the cross and wants to give you eternal life.
Proverbs 1:7 – The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 8:13 – The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 – Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Job 28:28 – And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding
Proverbs 14:27 – The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Luke 1:50 – And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
