We sometimes have trouble leaving our sins at the cross. We want to pick it right back up and beat ourselves up over it. Whether it’s a small sin or a big one we have to take it to God. Jesus has already paid the price of all our sins on the cross. The past, present and future ones. We have to forgive ourselves, forget it and move forward with our Christian lives so God can use us. So when Satan whispers in your ear about those past sins remember the blood of Jesus has forgiven it and paid the price of it for you.
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Isaiah 43:25 – I, [even] I, [am] he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness
1 John 3:5 – And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1 Peter 3:18 – For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Did you ever hear when you was a child if you found a four leaf clover it would bring you luck? I remember searching for one but never finding one. Did you ever have a rabbit’s foot as a child? Just childish beliefs as like wishing upon a star. I have heard so many as an adult say “My luck” when things go wrong or when someone was in a accident “They were lucky.” There is no such thing as good luck or
bad luck. It’s God’s will for our lives and his blessings that he gives us every day.
Philippians 4:19 – But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
James 1:17 – Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Luke 6:38 – Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again
2 Corinthians 9:8 – And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:
Proverbs 16:7 – When a man’s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.
I was saved at the age of twenty. The most important decision of my life. I wished I had been saved alot earlier in my life but I wasn’t raised in church growing up. I love to talk about my Lord and Saviour. I was scared when I first started doing soul winning. I was a silent partner at first just listening to another lady as we went door to door. I was a nervous wreck the first door I knocked on when I finally got the courage up. I stumbled over my words but God gave me boldness. It got easier every time afterwards. I have to admit I still get my feelings hurt when someone shuts the door in my face sometimes but that is just part of it. It has been weighing on my heart lately I have to do more. We are commanded to spread the gospel. That means women, men and children. I seen a little girl win a soul years ago. The Lord has put it on my heart that we have to reach the lost. I am so glad the day I gave my heart to the Lord. I deserved hell. By Jesus precious blood he shed on the cross he died for my sins. So many is out there heading to hell. Some in our own families heading to hell. We have to reach them before its too late.
Proverbs 11:30 – The fruit of the righteous [is] a tree of life; and he that winneth souls [is] wise.
Mark 16:15 – And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
1 Peter 3:1 – Likewise, ye wives, [be] in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives;
Romans 5:8 – But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 3:23 – For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Matthew 24:14 – And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
Romans 1:16 – For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Matthew 28:19 – Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Last week I was so troubled about so many things it had me so stressed out that by Friday I was feeling strung out and in tears. Nothing was going right for me. The weekend came and just seeking God with time for myself to get away from all my troubles for a couple of days that today I had a calmness about me that was from God. What is troubling you? What are you facing? Seek God’s peace in the following scriptures to help you when you feel out of control.
John 14:1 – Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Psalms 34:6 – This poor man cried, and the LORD heard [him], and saved him out of all his troubles
Psalms 27:14 – Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Nahum 1:7 – The LORD [is] good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him
Aa a new christian years ago I remember having a dream and God was showing me a great battle and someone in a hospital bed. I remember him asking me if I would fight for him and I told him I would. He told me I would have to put the armor on. I was so confused by that dream because I did not know what it meant to put the armor of God on. I read my bible but just didn’t understand yet. Years later in my life after facing battles with my Husband’s health, my Son’s health when he was born, my health over the years and the battles of what the devil has throwed my way I now know what it means to put on the armor of God. What battles are you facing right now? Put the armor of God on. The following scriptures tells us-
1 Thessalonians 5:8 – But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation
1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the he
No matter how many times we say it in life, it never gets any easier. The hardest goodbye that I ever faced was saying goodbye to my Mother when she died. We viewed her body in the hospital and then again at the funeral. It hurt but I was comforted in knowing I was going to see her again. It was just goodbye for alittle while. I told some friends goodbye here lately and I felt sad because I don’t know if I will ever see them again on earth but they told me one day it wouldn’t be any goodbyes. They told me they would look me up when we got to Heaven and that made the goodbye a whole lot easier. Here is some comfort from God’s word on saying goodbye.
Ecclesiastes 3:1– To every [thing there is] a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
Ephesians 6:10 – Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
2 Corinthians 13:11 – Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
1 John 3:16 – Hereby perceive we the love [of God], because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down [our] lives for the brethren.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these
Revelation 21:4- And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away
Today has been a day where I felt like giving up on something that I have put months of work in. Everywhere I have turned lately with this project I have hit a wall. Have you ever felt like that in life? When nothing seems to be going right in our lives sometimes we get discouraged.
God tell us in his word,
John 16:33 King James
33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world
Isaiah 41:10 KJV
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Galatians 6:9 – And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Psalms 31:24 – Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD
We have to leave what is bothering us to God. If it is his will it will happen. So when you feel like giving up turn to God who will encourage you.
When we decide to follow Christ there is no turning back. You have to be in it one hundered percent if not we let the world and our flesh get us off course. Just as Lot’s wife turned back its easy for us to turn back to that old lifestyle we once had if we are not careful.
Genesis 19:26
“But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.”
The bible tell us in the following scriptures, Matthew 10:22 – And ye shall be hated of all [men] for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved
John 10:27 – My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 8:12 – Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Matthew 16:24 – Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
1 Peter 2:21 – For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Let us not look back but continue on that path to Jesus.
There is something I dislike and that is when someone gets the big head so to speak. Have you ever met someone like that? Someone who brags about all their money or how many things they have bought. We have to be careful that we don’t become prideful or arrogant of the things we have in life. It is better to be humble. I am bad at selling my books that I write because I don’t want to come off to people like I am bragging. I try to be humble in my life in what God has given me. God’s holy word tell us;
Proverbs 11:2 – [When] pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly [is] wisdom.
1 John 2:16 – For all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Proverbs 27:2 – Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips
Galatians 6:3 – For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.
Proverbs 29:23 – A man’s pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.
Proverbs 16:5 – Every one [that is] proud in heart [is] an abomination to the LORD: [though] hand [join] in hand, he shall not be unpunished.
I love to walk and look at what God has created. I have been that way since I was a child. Making animal shapes out of the big puffy clouds while laying in the grass was one of my favorites. I still admire the beautiful clouds, the sunrises and sunsets that leaves the sky in spectalular colors.
I watch in wonder at my hummingbirds who come every summer to feed off my feeders on my porch. God created them in their own intricate way. They are not able to walk or hop but can perch and fly. They get their name from the way their wings hum. They can also fly backwards.
Genesis 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
John 1:3 – All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Isaiah 45:12 – I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, [even] my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded
Colossians 1:16 – For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
I am so thankful that God created all this and made me. The next time you get so busy in life stop and look at the sky, listen to the birds singing, and feel the wind on your face. Thank God for all that he has created.
