As I was studying the bible this morning I was reading
Deuteronomy 18:22 KJV”When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”
I thought about a close friend of mine who had been a Pastor. I had known him since I was fifteen years old. He had done the funerals for some of my loved ones. He even married my Husband and I. We had just moved back to our home state years ago and our friend had invited us to come to his new church he had started. We were excited on having a new church home and having our dear friend be our Pastor. I walked in that church and felt somthing was not right there in my spirit. We went a couple of weeks and could still feel that feeling. One Sunday morning they didn’t even let our Pastor preach that morning then one of the men got up and told everyone that there was a new Preacher going to preach that night. My Husband and I were confused and as we walked out we seen the hurt in our friend’s eyes and asked what was going on and he told us he didn’t know. That was the last time we went to that church. They had kicked out our friend and all the new people. They didnt want change. They threatened to arrest our friend during one of the meetings. Our friend faced many trials. Some of the churches nearby called him up to tell him to quit baptizing so many people. Can you believe that? I could go on and on about some of the things he endured by people who he thought were christian people but he was blessed by God. He is now in Heaven. It was a lesson to me about people you think are spiritual can be pretending. The bible has this to say about false prophets
1 John 4:1 – Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Matthew 7:15 – Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
2 Peter 2:1 – But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Matthew 24:24 – For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
Romans 16:18 – For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Mark 7:6 – He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

I was studying the bible today and reading the lineage names. We have in our names linking us to our ancestors. Our names are an incredibly important part of our identity. They carry deep personal, cultural, familial, and historical connections. They also give us a sense of who we are, the communities in which we belong, and our place in the world. The New Testament provides two accounts of the genealogy of Jesus, one in the Gospel of Matthew and another in the Gospel of Luke. Matthew starts with Abraham, while Luke begins with Adam. The lists are identical between Abraham and David but differ radically from that point.

My heart has been heavy here lately on so many things. I been praying for what to do in a certain matter. Have you ever had something so important in life that you just keep praying for a answer? I think everyone has. I have had so many. Some prayers gets answered and some doesn’t. I know the ones that does not get answered God has a reason for it or it’s got to be in his timing and his will not our own. Sometimes I get impatient but I have learned at those times I just have to have faith and trust God. He knows every obstacle in our life. He sees the whole picture where we can only see a tiny portion of it. He is always in control and sometimes we just have to let go and let him take over. No matter what, just keep praying.
Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
John 15:7 – If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Mark 11:24 – Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

As I read in the bible today about Israel complaining about not having any meat but only manna. Here God had delivered them from Egypt and was going to lead them to a promised land. They complained fourteen times. 1st time was before they had even left in Exodus 5:1-22, second was in Exodus 14:11-12, third was about the bitter water Exodus 15:22, Fourth time was Exodus 16:1-4 because they were hungry, fifth time they complained they were thirsty Exodus 17:1-4, sixth time was Exodus 32:28 when they worshipped a golden calf, seventh time was in Numbers 11 when they complained of eating only manna, eighth time was Numbers 12:1-12 Miriam and Aaron complain about who Moses had married, nineth time Numbers 14:1-10 complained of the giants in the promised land,tenth time in Numbers 14:10 the people wanted to kill Moses and have a new leader, eleventh time in Numbers 16 the leaders complain about Moses , twelveth time in Numbers 16:41 the people complain that Moses had killed some of their people, thirteenth time in Numbers 20:1-5 people complained again of no water, and last number fourteen In Numbers 21:4-5 the people complained about Moses and God.
Aren’t we just like that? We complain if we do not get what we want whether a good job, a car, more money and the list goes on. We complain to others around us. Have you ever been around someone who complained about everything? We need to thank God for what we have.

We can be like Peter sometimes in we step out in faith but soon fear grips us and we lose that faith. The good news is Jesus is right there to grab you by the hand when you start to sink.
Matthew 21:22 – And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
Romans 10:17 – So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If you ask some people if Hell is real they will scoff at you. Some believe it’s a thing of fables or fairy tales. If you believe in Heaven then you have to believe in Hell. The story of The rich man and Lazarus describes the torment of hell.
Luke 16:19-31-KJV

20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,

John 3:16– For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Revelation 20:15 – And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Matthew 25:46 – And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Matthew 10:28 – And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Mark 9:43 – And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched:

2 Thessalonians 1:9 – Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
Revelation 20:10 – And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Psalms 145:20 – The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Jesus doesn’t want any of us to perish in Hell. The most important question is if you were to die today do you know if you would go to Heaven? If not here is how.

I have backslid on my Christian walk many times as many of us does. So many in the bible did the same thing but the good news is that God is right there ready to catch us when we stumble and fall. You may say that God will not forgive you but my friend he will. He is there ready and waiting for you to return back to him.
1 John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Hebrews 6:4-For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost

Acts 3:15 – And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses
The Garden of Gethsemane was a place that was of great importance for Jesus where he went to be alone and pray to his Father. He experiences human emotions of great sorrow, sadness and fear as he approched his death. There he experienced such stress that the bible said he sweat great drops of blood. A condition called Hematidrosis where your pores will bleed out in times of stress. An angel helped to strengthen him. As Jesus did in the garden we can apply it to our lives today in when we are under stress or wrestling with the troubles of life, go and pray to the Father.

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
42 He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.
